What's New
May 17, 2026
Cumulative GPA
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors now see a This Year / Cumulative toggle on both the home screen and GPA Calculator — pulling prior year transcript data into a true multi-year weighted GPA.
Estimated Class Rank
A statistical model calibrated to LISD's GPA distribution estimates your class rank percentile — shown in the GPA Calculator and on the home screen. Based on your cumulative weighted GPA when prior year data is available.
Calendar Redesign
The Assignments tab is now a full month calendar. HAC assignments are mapped to their due dates with color-coded course dots. Tap any day to see what's due, and add your own assignments to any date on the calendar.
Guest Mode
Try the GPA Calculator without signing in. Enter grades manually on the login screen — full GPA calculation works without a HAC account. Other tabs show what's waiting for you when you sign in.
Since Last Time
The home screen now shows which course averages changed since your last login, and which assignments are due today or tomorrow — so you know what happened and what's coming the moment you open the app.
New Themes
Three new themes in Settings — Oil Painting (warm parchment and amber), Manga (high-contrast black and white with a red accent), and Terminal (pure black with matrix green). Seven themes total.
Teacher Names
Each course in the Grades tab now shows the teacher's name pulled directly from your report card data.
Login Speed
Next-week assignments now fetch in parallel with report cards and attendance — cutting login time by 2–3 seconds. Repeat logins within 25 minutes reuse your session and load in about 3 seconds.
Assignment Detail View
Tap any course in the Grades tab to see every assignment, your score, and category — color-coded by type (formative vs. summative) and grade.
Assignments Tab
This week and next week's assignments pulled from HAC, grouped by date with course color coding.
What-If Calculator
Open any course and edit assignment scores, add mock assignments, and watch your course average and GPA update in real time — using the exact same category-weighted formula LISD uses.
GPA Accuracy Fix
Verified the exact LISD GPA formula against a real transcript. Fixed decimal rounding, unweighted grade buckets, and semester averaging order — Aurea now matches your official transcript to three decimal places.
Aurora & Rose Themes
Two new themes in Settings — Aurora (deep navy with teal accents) and Rose (warm off-white with dusty rose). Four themes total.
How Aurea Works

You sign in once with your Home Access Center credentials, and Aurea does the rest. It pulls your grades, attendance, and academic history directly from HAC — the same data you'd see if you logged in yourself, just presented in a way that actually makes sense.

Your credentials are never stored. They're used once to access your data, then discarded immediately. Aurea never holds onto your password — once your information is loaded, it's gone from the server entirely.

1
You sign in
Your credentials are used to access your HAC account on your behalf, the same way you would if you logged in directly.
2
Aurea gathers everything at once
Your grades, report cards, attendance, and profile are all pulled in a single pass — then the connection to HAC closes.
3
Everything lives in your browser
All calculations, insights, and college matching happen on your device. Nothing is saved to a database. Refresh and it's gone — sign in again to reload.
Our Methodology

Aurea doesn't guess — it uses verified formulas and statistical models built specifically for Leander ISD. Here's what's under the hood.

1
GPA Calculation
Aurea replicates the exact LISD weighted GPA formula — verified against real transcripts to three decimal places. Semester averages are computed without rounding, course levels (I, II, III) determine the GPA scale (5.0, 5.5, 6.0), and category caps are applied exactly as LISD does. The result matches your official transcript.
2
Cumulative GPA
For students beyond freshman year, Aurea pulls prior year annual averages from your transcript and folds them into the cumulative calculation — the same way LISD does when computing your official GPA across your full high school record.
3
Estimated Class Rank
Class rank is estimated using a statistical model calibrated to LISD's GPA distribution — anchored to publicly known thresholds like the top 10% cutoff used for Texas automatic university admission. The model applies your cumulative weighted GPA to produce a single percentile estimate. It is an approximation, not an official rank, and will vary slightly from your school's actual ranking once published.
4
What-If Calculator
Assignment score simulations use the exact category weights your teacher set in HAC — pulled directly from the same grade detail view you see when you click a course. Changes to scores propagate through the full GPA formula in real time, including the effect on your weighted and cumulative GPA.
